When "Auto Quit" is enabled and you double-click a text macro file, the Macro Editor quits as soon as the macro has been passed on to KeyQuencer (either locally or on a remote target). The Macro Editor doesn't quit if you hold down the command key to edit a macro. Also, it doesn't quit if you launched it directly by double-clicking the application rather than a macro.
BUILD WHEN LAUNCHED (Extensions menu)
It takes a few seconds for the Macro Editor to build the Extensions menu and the Help window text. If you have to frequently launch the Macro Editor then you may want to delay this operation until you really need it, so you don't have to wait each time. You may then choose the "Build This Menu" command from the Extensions menu to build the menu and the help text when you need them.
SAVE WHEN TOO LARGE (Extensions menu)
The Macro Editor can't display more than 32000 characters in a text window. If you install all of the KeyQuencer extensions then the help text gets pretty close to this limit. If the text gets larger and the Macro Editor can't display it, you'll be asked whether you want to save the complete help as a text file before trimming it. Since this question is asked every time the help text is built (either upon launch or when you choose "Build This Menu"), you may want to disable it by turning off the "Save When Too Large" option.
